RACHA

Racha–Lechkhumi is a historical region in western Georgia. It is situated on the southern slope of the main Caucasus Range bordering on marvelous Svaneti.
Impressive medieval churches including the breathtaking Nikortsminda Temple (11th c.) are set round by Racha’s stunning environment of snow-capped mountains and fields of green velvet.
Rich in animal life, Racha has an abundance of mineral waters. One of the famous Georgian red wines – Kvanchkara - originates from this region. Racha is home to the best bread- and ham-makers in the country.
