Adjara

Ajara, one of the picturesque regions of Georgia is located in the Southwest of the country. Its 121 kilometer-long border runs from the subtropical coast of the Black Sea through highlands and borders on Turkey in the south. Ajara is a historic region and has been inhabited since the times of the Neolithic Age.

The natural beauty of the Ajara region is all-year-round greenery and the coastline backed by forested hills. The favorable subtropical climate of the region distinguishes its citrus fruits by fine quality. The idyllic location of sea and mountains offers the exceptional opportunities for seaside recreation and ecotourism in the mountain inhabited by unique endemic species of flora and fauna.
